Song/Music: „Whip it“ by Lunchmoney Lewis
When I first heard the song on the radio, I was kinda surprised. For me this was the intro for one of the daily vlog channels I watched: Daily M and T
I’m pretty sure I like the song because I’ve heard a part of it nearly every day for quite some time and it grew on me. Whenever I hear the song on the radio now, I start singing and dancing. The intro for the vlog channel, however, has now changed ^^

Book: Tiger’s Curse by Colleen Houck, Oblivion by Jennifer L. Armentrout, After the end by Amy Plum
It is for sure something different… I like the writing style and the story a lot. The book begins so differently from other fantasy romances and it is a great read. I think Kelsey is an awesome girl that maybe accepts a bit too quick what Ren throws at her, but she is good-hearted and has a backbone. Ren on the other hand is… again, different, but that had to be expected given who he is and all. Overall a great read that I kind of devoured and I’m looking forward to the rest of the series.

Oblivion was, unfortunately, not an amazing read for the first third of the book. It was very superficial and Daemon came off as an even bigger jerk than when we had the story from Katy’s perspective. It could’ve given much more insight into Daemon, but maybe it was just written in a rush? Or maybe it really was just to make money.

The plot idea sounded so good! And it is a good story idea, I just struggle with the characters. Somehow I don’t get them and after finishing the book I am still not sure if or why they would work out together. The characters lacked depth in my eyes and that made the book rather boring. I wish I could’ve loved it.

Series:  Constantine, Broadchurch Season 1, Heartland Season 4
Finally, I started watching Constantine… after having seen John Constantine appear on the Arrow, I was intrigued. I binged the whole Season (unfortunately, that is all there is… WHY?!) and loved it. The character of John Constantine is right up my alley and I might actually try the comics…

Broadchurch has been on my „To watch“ list for quite a while because of David Tennant obviously. Whilst I had some days off, I wanted something to watch and just started it. It is addictive! You never really know who was the murderer and why. I was kinda surprised of the why, even at the end. I would never have guessed the motive. Not Tennant’s most brilliant role (that will probably always be the Doctor), but he’s doing a great job and I liked it.

After all the demons (both the supernatural and the human ones), I needed something a little more light-hearted and ended up on Heartland. I would only repeat myself, here, so all I’m saying is: if you like horses and/or cowboys, watch it.
Haul: christmas presents
I’ve been hauling quite a bit, but had my focus on gifts for other people (as is should be around this time of year!). Be it online shopping or in the city, I think I’ve found something for everyone and from what I know so far, people have been happy with what they got. Yay me. I have been doing quite a bit of DIY around 2015’s christmas presents and I think they were a hit. Maybe I should try to do that a bit more in the future…

Song/Music: Raise your glass by Pink
Why? Because it is the Ring*Con song and I have had the conblues for quite a while this year (probably because it was the last Ring*Con). This song makes me wanna sing and dance and just tell everyone to f**k off. Yes, I may be weird at times, but it doesn’t matter —> So raise your glass if you are wrong in all the right ways 😉

Book: Scherben der Hoffnung (Shards of Hope) by Nalini Singh, Whispers at Moonrise by C.C. Hunter
Yes, the second month in a row… I’ve still been reading this book, because a) I read less and b) it’s a thick book to read. Many pages. Great words. I love Aden and by now I like Zaira too, even if I think I’d have wirtten another character for him. But hey, that’s how it is. You don’t always agree with the author, but that’s fine. I still liked this book for what it was: a big development in the overall story arch.

Finally, I’ve started the last book in the Shadow Falls Camp Series and it is a great „laid back read“ as I like to call it. I am loving this series for exactly that. Kylie is once again faced with her enemy and has problems solving her lovelife… that’s basically the whole series 😀 but I like it a lot. We’re getting some heartbreak, romance, great frindship moments and lots of action (or that’s what I am expecting at this point…).

Movie: Spectre (James Bond)
Ever since I was old enough to watch James Bond, I used to watch it with my mom and we have seen all the Daniel Craig Bond’s at the movie theatre together. So when the new one came out, I asked her if she would enjoy a mother-daughter-movie-night and she was delighted! We rooted more for Christoph Waltz in this one though… xD we love Christoph Waltz‘ acting. He is an incredible actor. The movie was good, however, to me the best Bond will always be Sean Connery before Pierce Brosnan and then all the others.

Series:  Arrow Season 4 and Flash Season 2
I’m still watching all the new Arrow and Flash episodes pretty much as soon as they come out. But besides that, nothing really. This was a busy month in terms of watching youtube videos and reading and just going to bed early ^^

Haul: Black Friday Hauling and Sephora VIB Sale
I picked up quite a few things in the Sephora VIB sale, but I’m not getting my products before quite some time… the sale is not international, unless you have a US shipping adress. So I asked a friend of mine who is working as an au pair in the States if I could send the package to her and she then forwards it to me (with me paying shipping obviously!)…. She agreed and even asked me if I would like her to give the parcel to a friend who’s coming over to visit and who can then send it from Germany to me. I obviously agreed as it saves me some shipping costs 😉

Black Friday is something that’s hard to withstand… but I didn’t want to spend too much on the sales, so I only waited for an offer from one site: Victoria’s Secret. (I love their lace panties!) But then, as it is, I ordered some christmas presents in the Black Friday sales too and will ship all of it together through Shipito once everything arrived at the warehouse.

Other: Ring*Con 2015
I have posted a little recap of my con weekend (that you can read here), but I’m not getting tired of talking about the fantastic experience that is Ring*Con. Or, well, was Ring*Con. It was the last in this form this year and it was sad, but we all made it a worthy end by partying hard and having as much fun as humanly possible. We will see what comes next and if the new concept for a fantasy convention is something we can all enjoy… see you in 2017!

Song/Music: Everybody’s pretty when they’re 18 by Charly
Uplifting, fun and makes you want to sing and dance – those are my favourite songs and this one falls right into this description. Beautiful voice, pretty melody and just all in all a great song. I love it.

Book: World After & End of Days by Susan Ee, Scherben der Hoffnung by Nalini Singh (Shards of Hope)
I have devoured the sequels to Angelfall just as fast as the first book. Loved reading them too. Brilliant storytelling and amazing characters. The world building is strong in this series too. Cannot rave about it enough. If you like fantasy and/or apocalyptic worlds, you definitely should be reading this trilogy.

Yet again another Nalini Singh book 😀 I meant to read this in between World After and End of Days, but didn’t entirely feel like it (though it’s Aden’s book!). I remember how just before the Frankfurt BookFair with Nalini Singh attending I had read book 9 or 10 in the Psy-Changeling series and aden was in it. I immediately fell for that character and my friend asked Nalini if we’d get to read Aden’s story and she was all like „ooh someone thinks the way I do and loves Aden when there is nothing more but a glimpse of him“ or at least that’s what it seemed like to me when she answered with „Maybe“. I’m in the middle of readibng it so I can’t say too much about it, but so far, I like it.

Movie: The Maze Runner – The Scorch Trials
Yep, I had to see it, obviously. I read the trilogy this year and have been enjoying it a lot and even though the story has been altered for the big screen, I think they’ve done a rather good job and I have hopes (I swear if you crush those in the third movie Mr Wes Ball, I will come and find you and you will not like it!) that they will not kill off my favourite character. They might kill others though because that’s obviously part of the world of WCKD.

Series:  Heartland Season 3+4, new Arrow and new Flash
More feel-good time with Heartland 🙂 I love the show, I love the characters and I can’t get enough of the beautiful landscape and the amazing horses on the show. I really need to go and cuddle as many horses as I can.

I was hyped for the new Flash and new Arrow episodes. For different reasons 😀 Flash just had a great first season and the ending left room for so many different paths to take, I was curious to see which one they went for (though with the announcement of Legends of Tomorrow – can’t wait for that show! – it was narrowed down a bit).
With Arrow I basically hoped that Season 4 would become better than Season 3 which I found was a bit all over the place. And can I take a moment to point out that it took them 3 complete seasons to call him Green Arrow as in that’s the name he really has in the comics?! What’s up with that?
So far so good with the two episodes I saw from each show. There is room for improvement, but I’m enjoying myself when I’m watching the shows.

Other: I’m gaming again – gotta catch ‚em all!
Yeah, you read that right. I’m back and hooked on Pokémon again. I do have my gameboy lying somewhere, but I am now playing on an emulator (on my pc) because I didn’t wanna erase my game from back then. Believe me, it’s so awesome! All the Pokémons to discover and catch… it brings back memories and is as much fun as it was back then. I love it and I think I play so much that my bf is actually being annoyed 😀 that’s a first.

Song: Katy Perry – Roar
This song is my absolute favourite at the moment. I’ve always been one to love songs about independance, strength and songs that just motivate you to go on. Keep going, girl, that is what I sometimes need to hear and that is why I love that kind of songs. Katy Perry’s got an incredible voice and I think she is really pretty. Not that this matters, but hey, maybe you wanted to know 😉
The Hobbit – Misty Mountains Cold
The song from the first part of the Hobbit movies. The story why it is in my head is really nice and for me it’s a great memory I will keep dear like a treasure. It is just a wonderful song and thinking that the dwarves sang it themselves!

Book: Kate Daniels Series by Ilona Andrews
Like last month I have still been into the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews. I’ve read book 5 and 6 (which isn’t really that much about Kate but about her best friend Andrea Nash) and I still like the series a lot. It grows on me with every single book I read.
Once finished with book 6, I started reading Dreamless, the second book from Josephine Angelini’s trilogy. I’ve waited a long time between finishing the first book and starting the second (although I already had it at home!)… why? Don’t really know, I just didn’t feel like it. But then I was completely wrapped up in Dreamless and I had to order Goddess right away so I can read it soon, too. If you like YA-books and haven’t read it yet, I recommend you start immediately 😉
Unfortunately, Goddess will only arrive at the end of november as I have ordered it in UK and wanted to spare me some extra shipping costs… well, now I gotta wait and read something else in the meantime.

Movie: Pitch Perfect and The Mortal Instruments – City of Bones
I only really rewatched a movie I’ve already seen before – Pitch Perfect. I love that movie. In my opinion Anna Kendrick plays her part perfectly. Her character is lovely and I love her singing voice. This movie is nothing too deep, but it’s entertaining and as I love music and movies that have the tendency of reaching more of a teenie public, this is exactly my kind of movie.
And I have finally seen TMI too. It was good, but I still don’t really like Jamie Campbell Bower as Jace. I can’t feel that sarcasm in his comments and that is what I really missed. I wish they had casted someone who could bring that sarcasm in very clearly. Jamie just didn’t have the right expressions on his face (in my opinion).

Series: Hawaii Five-0 and Arrow
Hawaii Five-0 restarted! Season 4 – woohoo! I missed this show. You know, I have season 1+2 at home, I nearly bought season 3 in UK, but I figured… as I had waited for  the first two seasons until they got cheaper, I could wait for the third as well. Since the show restarted I am a little sad I decided to wait, but hey, what you gotta do?!
I’m re-watching Arrow season 1 at the moment as well, because I bought the DVDs and because I love that show. Season 2 just started and I feel like it’s been on the whole time. I love Oliver Queen because he doesn’t see himself as a hero and he realises now and then that he is everything but perfect. Just a kinda normal guy who is trying to make the world a better place.

Food:
I haven’t had anything special, oh wait, that’s a lie. I’ve been to London at the beginning of the month and I had GBK burger 😉 those are really good. If you live in the UK or well go there on vacation or for work or whatever: try them. They have a lot of choices, even for vegetarians! The friend I went with is a vegetarian and she loves GBK and always finds something. Just to show you (again!) how yummy those burgers look:
