My teaser is from Girl Online on Tour by Zoe „Zoella“ Sugg

Still reeling from such an amazing night, Noah and I skip along the Hotel corridor and back up to my room (I’m not even worrying if my Deodorant has stood up to the Task of all that dancing). We continue singing the Sketch’s Songs right up until we get to the door.

I only started reading this book (book 2 in the trilogy) yesterday and whilst this – again – is not an epic book with an epic story or epic worldbuilding, this is a book that is so easy to read and all kinds of nice. At the moment I am in need of just easy-breezy reads that are purely entertainment and nothing else. I liked the first book a lot for that and hope that the second one will be as nice.

My teaser is from Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins

„Things change.“ His blue eyes widen as if he’s joking, but there’s something flat behind his expression. It’s uncomfortable. Cricket was always proud of his Family name. As an inventor, just like his great-great-great-grandfather, it was impossible for him not to be.

I started reading this at the end of last week and it is the book I have lying in my Office for the lunch break Entertainment. It’s nice to have a fluffy, easy-to-read Story on Hand to get away from busy and sometimes rough work subjects.

My teaser is from An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir

For the rest of the day, I do my best to act like a Mask on the verge of graduation – smug, brutish, violent. It’s like covering myself in filth.

I just started reading this today, as I got it for my birthday last week. So far I cannot say much with the couple pages that I’m in, but I hope I will love this book. It sounds so interesting and one of my favourite booktubers (Katytastic) loved this book. I hope that is a good sign.

My teaser is from City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare

„I was hoping they’d put up Flyers like the do for lost cats,“ he said. „Missing, one stunningly attractive teenage Boy. Answers to ‚Jace‘ or ‚Hot stuff‘.“

Yep, it’s because of that Shadowhunters „hype“again… Or, well, you know, as I was reading from that universe anyhow… I thought after finishing Clockwork Princess that I should give this a go to finally finish the Mortal Instruments Series. Not that I am finished when I finish this book, but I am gonna be considerably closer to the end than I was before starting this book.
It is easy enough to get back into the Shadowhunters world and I like it. So far, I am getting more an more annoyed by Clary whom I loved in the first books… I’m still Standing on my Point that Cassandra Clare should have left it being a trilogy. It would’ve been enough for those characters. But it’s still an enjoyable read and a must for all fans of the series.

My teaser is from Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare

Will dropped the sword-cane in shock. He had never done that before, never dropped a weapon in the middle of a battle, but there was his little sister, clinging with grim determination to the back of a massive demon worm, like a tiny flea clinging to the fur of a dog.

The Shadowhunters „hype“ (tv show) has gotten me to try again with this book that has been sitting in my shelf ever since it first came out… unread. I had tried and failed to read this book before, but fortunately, this time it’s different. I only had to be hanging around a little bit longer and I got sucked right back into the Shadowworld.
I suppose my heart will break (at least a little) at the end of this book, but hey, I will know how the story unfurled and I will be able to read the rest of the Mortal Instruments Series, the Bane Chronicles and the Shadowhunter Codex (was that all that I have left in my shelf?! ^^). So far, it’s a nice read.

My teaser is from The Power by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Even startled, I recognized that six months ago I would’ve fallen over if I’d turned around that fast back then.
Ninja status halfway there.

The first book in the Titan Series was a bit of a surprise hit for me, because I wouldn’t have thought that I missed and enjoyed Seth so much, but I did. I was anticipating the release of the second book very much and am very glad that it is now here and I can read it.
Seth has changed, but luckil there is still enough of the bad boy in there to make the reading very enjoyable. I also like Josie and wish her all the best, but she is in for a bad rollercoaster drive. It’s not enough that Titans are gunning for your ass, but also your boyfriend is drawn to your power like a junkie and it will break her heart on occasions. (Because yes I can see Seth being an idiot more than once.)
I think this will be one marvelous read.

My teaser is from Magic Shifts by Ilona Andrews

„I thought you might be injured.“
He looked at me. „We’ve met, you and I?“
I deliberately took a big step back.
„What?“ He growled.
„I’m making room for your ego.“
[page 180]

Oh my gosh I’ve missed Kate and Curran! (and all the others too) They are sassy, funny, so hopelessly in love and just goddamn crazy. Both of them. I don’t think I could determine who is crazier than the other. They are just nuts. But I love them and their world and just every single book in this series.
How are Ilona and Andrew aka Ilona Andrews doing this? Every damn book in this series is just magnificient, amazing, fabulous.
If you haven’t tried this series yet, do it.
