Oh yeah they look all so young on the pic above 😉

I have always been a fan of everything fantasy and/or sci-fi related and in this case we even have a little bit of an apocalypse going on, well, passed. I started watching this series when it came out in Germany and by now this is so long ago, I can’t even remember. This series was the beginning of Jessica Alba and man I just loved her character! (Also, you can see it in the pic above, a very young Jensen Ackles 😀 and his character was douchy but oh I loved him!)
Season 1 introduces us to the life of Max, a young but sadly always broke bike courrier who works in post-apocalyptic Seattle (I’ve been to Seattle! ^^ ). She seems to want a normal life though she is everything but normal: a genetically-enhanced super-soldier who escapes from a covert government biotech/military facility as a child is hardly what I call normal, don’t you agree? She is an awesome character, has great and somewhat nerdy/geeky friends, fights for her life and finds an ally in someone she didn’t expect.
Season 2 feels a bit more dramatic with everything going on in Max‘ life and the life of all people around her. It gets a bit darker too and more „lab-rats“ are on the run from the government. But we learn over time that Max is something quite special and therefore it doesn’t surprise that she takes on the leader role in the fight against the government.

If you like sci-fi/post-apocalyptic themes, this series will probably be for you. If you enjoy sarcastic and tough heroines, this is for you too.

Love the series and like to rewatch it from time to time!
